Identification required
to sell metal

Due to an increase in the commodity price of metal, metal theft has become a significant issue in the last few decades and as a result, the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013 was introduced. Any legitimate scrap metal trader must follow this legislation. To comply, Mellor Metals requires suitable identification from all scrap metal suppliers before we can complete any transaction.
