The Level 5 Metals Recycling Technical Manager (MRTM)

The metal recycling industry has also launched its second sector-specific apprenticeship - The Level 5 Metal Recycling Technical Manager apprenticeship. This level is an enhanced learning route for more experienced individuals in the metal recycling field. The MRGO role will include a wide range of different tasks and responsibilities, including being in charge of and handling all types of equipment.

Why is metal recycling important?

Metal recycling protects the environment and saves energy by reducing the need to make metals from scratch. Recycling metals also helps the economy as many scrap metal businesses will purchase and supply scrap metal to domestic and export markets. Companies that arrange for their scrap metal to be reused will not only make a profit but, will also contribute to the wealth of the country, boosting the economy even further!
